Temples in Delhi : Akshardham

Akshardham temple is one of the best attractions of Delhi. This temple is more than just a place of worship! Reflecting the good taste in architecture, though it is one of the modern temples and built in 2005.

It is the largest Hindu temple in the world and is located on NH 24, near the Common Wealth Games Village. The temple is dedicated to Swaminarayan Akshardham. A large complex situated amidst beautiful gardens, theater, hall and more. It is one of the well-maintained temples in Delhi. A unique thing about the temple architecture is that it is built entirely using marble and stones and no metal has been used in the construction. Along with paying homage to Swaminarayan, one can look at the rich collection of Indian culture here; the light and sound show in the evening is worth seeing.

Note: Visitors are not allowed to take carry any baggage, phone and camera in the temple.
